It’s christmas time and we at Biametrics like to celebrate with the traditional German hot christmas wine – Gluehwein. Here is our special recipe for you to try.

You need

2 bottles Italian red wine (use wine with a strong character, e.g. Pelassa)

4 tbsp. sugar

3 star anise

1 cinnamon stick

1 orange (organic) sliced

6-8 cloves

2 cardamom pods


Add all ingredients into a large pot. For better handling you can put the spices into a tea filter bag before adding them. Heat the mixture to 60-70 °C while taking care not to boil it. After 15 min take out the spices or keep them in a few more minutes for a stronger flavour.


Serve hot and enjoy!
